AUSTIN -- People gathered at Austin City Hall Sunday for a march to the State Capitol, hoping to send a message about equal rights.
They used the opportunity to demand equal rights under state and federal law.
This march took place one day before "Equality Texas Lobby Day."
The crowd gathered at city hall before marching to the south steps of The Capitol.
For the first time, employment non-discrimination bills have been filed in both houses of the Texas Legislature, plus bills concerning equal rights when it comes to marriage, insurance, and adoption.
The marchers say if these bills don't pass this session, they're not going to give up.
