AUSTIN -- It was a busy Valentine's Day at the Travis County Courthouse where dozens of couples tied the knot.

Judges John Lipscombe and Jan Breland, a husband and wife team, presided over Thursday's weddings.

Much of the courthouse was decorated for the occasion as the couples exchanged vows.

Kendrick Collins and Livinia Secton were one of the many couples who got married on this special day.

"It's beautiful. She always wanted to get married on Valentine's Day. It was a dream of hers, so I thought we'd just make it happen on Valentine's Day," said Collins, referring to his new wife.

"It's a special day, for us and my family, to get together and reunite one another as one," said Secton.

The judges were going to take a lunch break, but so many couples showed up. Justice Breland estimated at least 40 to 50 couples tied the knot this Valentine's Day.
