Dr. John Sandbach, Director of the Genetic Risk Assessment and Testing Program at Texas Oncology, joins us in the studio to break down the ruling made by the US Supreme Court which allows synthetically produced DNA to be patented.

A genetic battle ended with a Supreme Court ruling. The US Supreme Court decided that synthetically produced DNA can be patented, but DNA produced naturally cannot. This will have large implications for cancer research.
