AUSTIN -- Headliners the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage just after 9:20 Sunday night, wrapping up three days of music at Zilker Park. This was the 11th year of the Austin City Limits Festival.

Forty-five bands played on eight stages Sunday alone and 75,000 were expected each day.

Crowds survived Saturday's rain, and even returned with umbrellas for Sunday.

But they didn't need them for rain. They used them for shade instead, as temperatures rose to the high 80s.

Rachel Henry of Maine, who returned to the festival Sunday with her umbrella in tow, says, "We thought it was going to rain all day today, too!"

This was her third year at the festival. Her only complaint is that ACL will expand to two weekends next year.

"I know we're bummed because we're from out of state. So now we're going to have to pick and choose which weekend! "

Hector Perez, who is a "festival expert" of sorts having been to events across England, Amsterdam, and the U.S., says "ACL is pretty tops. They know how to put on a really good show."

He says, "The thing I really like is not so much the headliners, but the bands that are up and coming and that's why I'm here. "

This is his 10th year at ACL, he only missed 2007 when he lived in England.
