Thousands plunge into 32-degree lake

CHICAGO, Illinois -- About 1,000 people in Chicago braved the bone-chilling waves of Lake Michigan for the annual Polar Plunge. The water in the lake is freezing around 32 degrees this time of year. The plunge raises money for the Special Olympics.
