BALA, North Wales -- Beautiful images of the Orionid meteor shower are coming in from different parts of the world.
This photo was taken in Bala, North Wales.
Overnight the shower lit up parts of the Northern Hemisphere. It happens every October as the earth intersects the dust trail from Halley's Comet.
The flashes are part of the comet burning up in the earth's atmosphere.
