NEW ORLEANS — WFAA reporter Jonathan Betz is no stranger to hurricane coverage. He was working at WWL-TV in New Orleans when Katrina devastated the region seven years ago.
This week, he's back in southern Louisiana providing dramatic reports from the hardest-hit region in flooded Plaquemines Parish south of New Orleans.
He was aboard a rescue boat Wednesday morning documenting efforts to save homeowners trapped in their attics by rising waters.
Jonathan paused Wednesday evening to share his thoughts after a hectic day.
