AUSTIN -- A lack of funding and friction between some of the parties involved are two of the reasons why one of the driving forces behind F1 in Austin could be viewing the event from his rear view mirror.

Traction on a race track is a good thing. However, friction between principal controlling parties off the track is not.

"Let's just say there's been a difference of philosophy," said Tavo Hellmund of Full Throttle Productions. "For the good of the project, I am willing to do whatever it is for the project to go forward."
