It was all systems go Wednesday morning for NASA.
Skies were clear and the space agency got the green light for lift-off of its newest rocket- the Ares 1-X.
Stormy weather in Florida prevented the launch over the past two days.
NASA says the rocket is the world's largest, today's test flight is seen as a step toward returning to the moon.
A large crowd gathered at Kennedy Space Center to see the launch, the first launch of a new rocket there in 30-years.
