DALLAS -- A downtown collision tied up traffic near the Omni Dallas Hotel on Saturday evening.

A small black sedan and an 18-wheeler tangled at the corner of Lamar and Young streets. No one was seriously injured, but the impact punctured a diesel tank on the truck, spilling slippery fuel down Lamar Street.

The Dallas Fire-Rescue hazardous materials team used power equipment to soak up and dispose of the fuel.

Police, meanwhile, directed traffic through the hotel's entranceway to sidestep the tainted pavement.
