Seattle photographer William Drumm got some incredible photos of a pod of orcas swimming off Golden Gardens in Seattle over the weekend.
Drumm says he set out on a salmon fishing trip, and after pulling out of Shilshole Bay Marina in Ballard, his group was greeted by the pod of orcas.
"There was one large male, one baby, and four or five females," he writes on his blog. "I could hardly believe the sight, the sun creeping over Golden Gardens, and the incredible whales playfully cruising on the surface."
"Their breaths were loud on the calm sea, and for a while we were the only boat around. Having an experience like this is like receiving a gift."
