MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay -- Images are being released of the world's first glow in the dark sheep.

Scientists in Uruguay completed this experiment. They used a gene from a jellyfish, which is responsible for production of green fluorescent protein.

Experts say the reason for the glowing sheep is so shepherds who watch their flocks at night can have a much easier job.
