AUSTIN -- If you've been thinking about adopting a dog or cat, Saturday is a great day to do it.
The Austin Humane Society is waiving all adoption fees on Saturday, July 7, to encourage Central Texans to adopt a pet. The "Free Fur All" event comes at a time when shelters across Central Texas are operating at capacity or above.
Shelter doors open at noon and will remain open until 7 p.m. at their location at 124 W. Anderson Lane. In addition, the first 25 people to adopt will receive a $20 gift certificate to EZ's Brick Oven & Grill.
