Last week KVUE told you about Texas police being called out to a rural property to investigate a case of animal hoarding. A total of 19 dogs were found living in filthy, cramped conditions.

On Tuesday the Austin Humane Society was awarded ownership of those animals, and now they need loving homes. Kelly Hanes introduced KVUE to some of those rescues.

AHS will host an adoption event Saturday at the Austin Humane Society at 124 West Anderson Lane. Doors open at noon.

The dogs range from four to 14 pounds and have all received care from Austin Humane Society. If you would like to adopt one, AHS asks that you show up early.
