Chantelle Wallace brought along Bo, a handsome six year old and KVUE's Pet of the Week from the Austin Animal Center.
Bo was found as a stray in northwest Austin in April! The poor guy has been living in a kennel at the shelter for 4.5 months.
Bo is staying at the old Town Lake Animal Center shelter on the shore of Ladybird Lake near Austin High. The City of Austin has 60 dogs available for adoption at the Town Lake Animal Center site, plus hundreds of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies available at the new Austin Animal Center in East Austin – we share the old Town Lake shelter with our partners from Austin Pets Alive.
An added bonus for Bo is that he’s part of the “Hard Luck Hounds” program – a non-profit, volunteer-run program that provides resources to help the dogs that prove to be harder to get adopted. The Hard Luck Hounds volunteers provide amazing service to adoption customers including follow up support for the dogs after they go home.
So go on down to Town Lake Animal Center today to meet Bo or any of the dogs there, or head over to the Austin Animal Center, and find your family a new best friend. Both shelters are open from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. every day of the week.
