LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- This year's Kentucky Derby will feature the world's most expensive mint julep.
The julep is the signature drink of the event, but it is seldom like this.
Woodford Reserve plans to sell 65 cups of the cocktail made with what it calls "exotic ingredients." This includes "double oaked" ultra-premium bourbon, water from France and a rare lemon mint grown in California.
A cup of the one-of-a-kind beverage goes for $2,000. The drink comes with a sterling silver cup, plated in 24-karat gold. It also has a horseshoe on it with 43 diamonds.
