PALM COVE, Australia -- A total solar eclipse is one of the most exciting astrological events to view from Earth.

One took place this week over Northern Australia. The moon blocked out the sun for just over two minutes.

As many as 60,000 people traveled there from all over the world to witness the event.

It's been more than a decade since the last total eclipse was visible from Australia.
