You probably thought how unfortunate, or you were shocked when you heard the news about Case McCoy and Jordan Hicks being suspended for the Alamo Bowl.

This was the 2nd time Mack Brown had to deal with suspending players before a bowl game.

Before the Longhorns played Arkansas in the 2000 Cotton Bowl, Brown had to suspended four players, two of which were starters.

In 1995, an imposter Ron Weaver known as Ron McKelvey was suspended after his identity was determined along with the fact he was 30-years-old and he had exhausted his NCAA eligibility.
