Houston hospital ranked one of the top in the country

Texas Children's Hospital is one of the ten best children's hospitals in the country. This is according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report. The Houston hospital is ranked 4th behind hospitals like Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Boston Children's Hospital.  Rankings were based on measures such as survival rates, adequacy of nurse staffing and procedure volume.

Looking for a bargain getaway this summer? Steer clear of Honolulu! Tripadvisor says it's the most expensive U.S. city to visit in the summer, based on factors including a roundtrip taxi ride and a night's stay for two in a four-star hotel.

The travel site says you're likely to find better deals in Las Vegas, ranked as the lowest-priced American city for a summer trip. Texas scored two cities in the "most affordable" column - Dallas coming in at number three, and Houston at number seven.

Texas is dominating a new list of the best cities for recent college grads. Apartments.com ranked locations based on where grads can find work and afford rent and looked at the all-important singles scene. It was determined that San Antonio is the third best city for young workers. Austin came in at number five, Fort worth was eighth and Dallas just behind in the number nine spot.
