TECH TUESDAY: Bitcoin, Google and Apple vs. Samsung

This Tech Tuesday takes a look at Bitcoin, driving while wearing Google Glass and the Apple versus Samsung debate.

Just last week, the first bitcoin ATM in the United States was installed in downtown Austin.

On Tuesday, one of the world’s most established exchanges for the virtual currency disappeared from the internet.

A statement posted on the Mt. Gox website says a "tragic violation of the trust of users of Mt. Gox was the result of one company's actions and does not reflect the resilience or value of bitcoin."

Bitcoins are basically lines of computer code that are digitally signed each time they travel from one owner to the next.

A report says lobbyists for Google are working hard to make sure you can drive while wearing Google Glass.

With many states considering distracted driving bills, some lawmakers say the Glass headsets are as dangerous as cell phones.

Apple or Samsung for your mobile device? A new study by KS Mobile says women prefer iPhone by 45 percent. Men prefer Samsung by 33 percent.

An evenly split group of 1,000 people were asked.
