AUSTIN -- The video captured by Travis County jail surveillance cameras shows Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg as she's escorted into cell 512 around 12:30 Saturday morning, after being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated shortly before.

The video shows Lehmberg who appears upset, sobbing once police leave her cell. As the video timestamp progresses Lehmberg appears to grow more agitated, kicking the cell door to get officers' attention.

Jail documents confirm officers entered the cell and checked her restraints, and filed at least one incident report that Lehmberg was resistant during pat downs. The video shows one officer began to record Lehmberg using a handheld video camera.

According to jail records, Lehmberg "refused several directives to stop kicking the cell door. In an attempt to protect inmate Lehmberg from harming herself, officers were forced to place inmate Lehmberg in the emergency restraint chair."

The video confirms officers entered the cell shortly before 1:30 a.m., pulled a mask over her mouth and placed additional restraints on Lehmberg before moving her out of the cell.

Surveillance shows Lehmberg was wheeled into the jail's phlebotomy office strapped into the chair, with officers removing her mask once inside. Lehmberg was then returned to her cell, where her restraints were checked several more times.

Around 3:30 a.m., Lehmberg is seen being escorted down the hall for photography, after which she was placed in a different cell and allowed to make a phone call. Records show Lehmberg alternated between sitting or sleeping and agitated or yelling for the next few hours, over the course of which she made two more phone calls.

Finally around 7:15 a.m., Lehmberg is shown gathering her belongings. Records show she was released on a bond of personal recognizance and allowed to leave.
