Looks like government cutbacks haven't damaged the job market much, at least not yet. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg say hiring probably picked up in April compared to March. They say the economy added 150,000 workers in April, up from 88,000 in March. The Labor Department reports on the April jobs number Friday.
