Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a school holiday for kids.  But hundreds of Central Texas students did not take the day off.  Instead they went to school for several hours Monday, as a Day of Service.

At Great Oaks Elementary in Round Rock, nearly 150 students made pillows and cards for sick children at Dell Children's Medical Center.

At McNeil High School, the Green Club spent half the day working to make a portable more energy efficient.  These were just two of several volunteer events happening in Round Rock.
