AUSTIN - A White House official released a statement confirming that President Obama will be traveling to the Capital of Texas next week to discuss economics.
The statement read: "On Thursday, May 9, President Obama will travel to Austin, Texas for events on the economy. Additional details on these events will be forthcoming."
The president's visit isn't receiving a positive reaction from everyone. Yesterday, U.S. Congressman Roger Williams (R-Austin) sent a letter inviting President Obama to visit a local small business, which he believes has been damaged by policies enacted by the Obama Administration.
A segment of Williams' letter reads: "maybe this trip will open your eyes and we can start to change some of the destructive policies of the last four years. Surely we can put our heads together and do the right thing for businesses and families across America - starting in Austin, Texas."
