AUSTIN -- Austin Police said two men are behind a handful of robberies throughout the Austin area and each time one of the men carried a shotgun.

So far, the two men have robbed or attempted to rob five stores, including the Quix Mart near Highway 183 on Thursday night where the men fired a round of shots.

Austin police are asking for help to find these men and stop these crimes.

“As small as the information might be, we welcome any and all information,” APD said.

The robbers are described as two Hispanic men, one about 5'10” and in his teens to early 20s. The other around is described around 5’4” and police said both of the men are always wearing bandannas.

“Things are changing around here in a way that we don’t like, and I have talked to a lot of the neighbors around here and they don't like it either,” Michael Rappe said.

Rappe lives across the street from where one of the robberies took place.

If you have any information on the crimes, please contact Crimestoppers at 472-TIPS.
