AUSTIN -- A severe Thunderstorm Warning has just expired for parts of Central Texas. Tuesday night into Wednesday it dropped dime, even quarter-sized, hail over the area.

The thunderstorm also caused problems for drivers. On MoPac near Howard Lane in North Austin, a driver hit a large pile of hail, spun out and landed in a grassy ditch.The driver didn’t suffer any injuries but a tow truck had to pull his car from the grass.
According to an outage map from Austin Energy, there were only a few reports of power outages because of the storm. However Bastrop-area customers saw more problems.Bluebonnet Electric Coop reported nearly 300 customers lost power at one point during the storm.
