AUSTIN -- Austin firefighters were called to the Texas Civil Rights Project headquarters on Montopolis Drive around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters say they were able to knock the one-alarm fire down quickly.
The fire's cause was ruled accidental later Wednesday morning. Damage is estimated at $100,000 to the structure and $40,000 to contents.
As of 7:30 a.m., fire units had cleared the scene and released the building back to the business owners.
