AUSTIN -- Police Chief Art Acevedo and a new class of police offcers hit the streets of downtown for the Chief's Run.
The tradition is the department's way of promoting unity within its ranks.
Chief Acevedo makes the run from the State Capitol down Congress Avenue with every new class.
Graduation ceremonies will be held on Friday.
