PINELLAS COUNTY, Florida -- A woman's stunt with a manatee lands her in legal hot water.
Police arrested the 53-year-old for riding an endangered mammal back in September. She was caught on camera riding a manatee, but by the time deputies got to the beach she was gone.
The woman finally turned herself in, saying she didn't know it was against the law.
Florida as a Manatee Sanctuary Act, which makes it a crime to bother the creatures.
