Children in Central Texas are now ready for this week's freezing temperatures, thanks to a big blanket donation.
Tuesday morning the Girl Scouts of Central Texas and the Sleep Experts store unloaded hundreds of blankets, comforters and pillows. The two groups have teamed up to provide warmth to families receiving assistance through the Center for Child Protection.
So far more than 1,000 items have been collected and will be taken to four local non-profits.
