LOS ANGELES -- The next time you're at the airport you might make a new best friend.

LAX in Los Angeles has launched a new program called Pets Unstressing Passengers or "PUP" for short. The goal is to have the dogs ease tense travelers as they wait for their flights.

Officials hope these dogs will help improve the atmosphere inside the airport. In 2012 Travel Magazine named LAX the second worst airport for traveler satisfaction.
