David Kite might look familiar.

He's been in South Carolina for several years, playing at the University and then coaching at College of Charleston. But Austin is his home.

"I do feel like I've been around golf forever," says Kite. "I've been fortunate to learn from a lot of people, talk to a lot of people, and go a lot of places that most people don't get to do."

He's been able to do these things because he's been around world-class golf all his life.

His dad, Tom Kite, is one of the best in PGA history. But David is making a name for himself.

"He is part of the reason why i wanted ot get out of Texas," says David. "I wanted to get somewhere that not as many people knew Dad so well and not as many people knew me as Tom's son."

He and College of Charleston head coach Mark McEntire, another Austin native, are now helping the golfers in South Carolina be winners like them.
