There is a critical need for donors to help save lives. Blood donations only last about 45 minutes, saving two lives here in Central Texas.

Nicole Vommaro, Promotions Account Executive with the Blood Center of Central Texas, joined KVUE Daybreak Sunday to discuss how you can help.

The Center estimates that over 200 blood donations are needed daily to meet patient needs in 37 hospitals and medical facilities in Central Texas. In order to donate you have to be at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds.
