FLINT, Michigan -- A student at the University of Michigan in Flint is taking a novel approach to paying off his student loans.
Alex Benda, who graduates this spring, is selling advertisements on his graduation cap.
The business major says he worked as a photographer to help pay off his tuition, but he says he's still burdened by nearly $30,000 in loans.
Benda says if he sells 10 advertisement squares, he'll wipe that out. So far he's raised nearly $2,500 dollars.
