Claude Mathis is a well respected football coach not only in Central Texas, but across the state,and the nation.
Mathis was a standout running back for both Bartlett High School and at then Southwest Texas State University. He was an assistant coach at L.C. Anderson High School, head coach at L.B.J. and at Desoto High School, an asst. at the University of Houston, and now back at Desoto High School.
Mathis has earned a lot of respect, so much so he was named to the coaching staff of the 3rd annual International Bowl.
