AUSTIN -- Police have released the name of the man killed by a gunshot on his birthday.
Roberto Reyna, who would have turned 36 on July 19, was found shot at a home on Gonzalez Street near 7th Street Friday just before 1 a.m. Police are still searching for a suspect.
Reyna was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he was pronounced dead.
This is Austin's third homicide in just one week, but police say they have no reason to believe they are connected.
"Homicides are something that's usually pretty random so I would not say that this is a concern. It's just probably a bad week for the city of Austin," Officer Marcus Davis said.
KVUE talked with neighbors who didn't want to go on camera. They say they are pretty shocked and kind of scared to hear something like this happened so close to their homes.
Police describe their suspect as a Hispanic man with medium build. He is about 5'7" and is bald. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, possibly a black shirt.
The suspect and a dark SUV were seen in the area just before the shooting.
