AUSTIN -- Blind baseball players from Austin are now national champions.

Two brothers started the Austin Blackhawks in 1986.

All of the players are legally blind besides the pitcher, catcher and two spotters. They rely on the beeping sound of the ball to know when to swing.

The blackhawks beat all of the United Stated teams but lost to Taiwan for the world championship on Saturday.

The team is holding a special demonstration at the Round Rock express game next Sunday.
