AUSTIN -- A former Austin police officer lost her appeal to get her job back.

In August 2011, police dash camera video showed officer Michelle Gish get violent after a suspect strapped to a gurney spit in her face. The suspect had just led officers on a chase.

APD fired Gish and her partner, not for the use of force, but for not accurately reporting the incident.

Both filed appeals, Gish's was denied this week. Officer Jose Robledo's appeal was also denied.
