AUSTIN -- Austin police are keeping a current investigation into compelled prostitution very quiet for now.

According to an arrest affidavit, filed in Travis County District Court, investigators with the Austin Police Human Trafficking Unit are working to track down 40-year-old Shalimar Adrian Spells.

A mother of two called 911 saying she fell on hard times so she signed up to be an exotic dancer but found herself being forced to have sex and give the money to a pimp.

Investigators have identified at least three other female victims and one male victim.

Spells is still on the run. He has a criminal past and is a wanted felon with several known aliases.

The victims have been offered help and protective custody.

Anyone with information is asked to call Austin police.
