AUSTIN -- This fall's Austin City Limits music festival could be a big break for some local artists.
Austin-area musicians on the lineup include Ruthie Foster, Asleep at the Wheel, Esperanza Spaulding, Quiet Company, and the Wheeler Brothers.
For The Aaron Ivey Band, this will be the first year they go from watching the festival to playing on stage.
When the lineup came out Tuesday morning, the congratulations started pouring in.
"We got the news a couple of months ago, but we had to keep kinda it quiet until it was officially announced," said Aaron Ivey. "It's a huge honor. We're completely thrilled to play at one of the best music festivals in the world, especially here in our hometown."
ACL runs from Friday Oct. 12 through Sunday Oct. 14 in Zilker Park.
