ARIZONA -- In Arizona, the only surviving member of the Granite Mountain Hotshots speaks publicly for the first time since the fire that killed his nineteen fellow firefighters a week ago.

An emotional day for Brendan McDonough, the lone survivor of the fatal Yarnell Wildfire.

"We've not only been crushed as a town, but a nation. And we've all come together, and i want to thank every one of you," said McDonough.

Between cheers and applause, McDonough took to the stage at the frontier days concert in Prescott Saturday night. He thanked the crowd of supporters and also accepted a $400,000 check from the Arizona Diamondbacks and their fans. That money will go to the families of his fallen crew members.
