AUSTIN -- Austin police and the non-profit group Please be Kind to Cyclists are working on a new project to help save lives.
They were out in South Austin Sunday filming for a new series of public service announcements about the city's vulnerable road ordinance.
That's the law that requires drivers to give cyclists and pedestrians three feet of space. Both APD and the cycling group are concerned about the number of people dying on Austin's roads.
Already this year, seven pedestrians have died on Austin's roads.
