A Massachusetts woman got a frightening surprise when she tried to use her remote key to pop her trunk-- it explode, sending shrapnel flying through the parking lot of a wholesale store.
Two cars parked near the vehicle had some damage from the explosion.
Investigators say the remote key ignited vapors coming from plumbing equipment in the trunk.
