HOUSTON -- Texans fans in one neighborhood are taking their football spirit to the street.

On the 7600 block of Sherman Street near the Ship Channel, every day is a block party. Every house on block features some kind of Texans décor. Even the utility poles have caught Texans fever.

Mario Perez, a true Texans fan from head to toe, is leading the neighborhood charge.

“We’re gonna win the Super Bowl we’ve always been the NFL's ugly sister, but the ugly sister's gonna get a ring this year,” said Perez. “She's gonna get married and get a ring this year.”

Perez said he started decorating his house two years ago, and before long, his neighbors joined in.

”It wasn’t like he forced anybody to do it. It just happened. I mean everybody's all for Houston,” said Danny Contreras, Perez’s neighbor.

Everyone is welcome on game days. Contreras said the street is “crazy awesome and beautiful” when the Texans are on TV.
