A police search ended with a woman surrendering after pictures surfaced of her trying to ride a manatee.
The pictures were taken at a beach near Tampa.
The Florida Manatee Sanctuary Act says people are not allowed to interfere with the animals.
A violation of the act is a second degree misdemeanor.
