AUSTIN -- People across Central Texas reported having seen a meteor which many witnesses described as a 'bright green fireball' shooting through the sky around 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
Below is a video of the meteor posted by a YouTube user. KVUE accessed the video after it was first tweeted by the National Weather Service San Antonio. Viewers from across the region said the video appears to be the same fireball they saw Saturday night.

According to the YouTube user who posted the video, the scene was captured in San Antonio, Texas.
According to the National Weather Service San Antonio, Maverick Co. Sheriffs Dept reported the ground shaking due to the meteor landing around 8:45 p.m. NWS San Antonio said there are still no confirmed reports of anyone actually witnessing the meteor landing or where if it did. They said it could have been sonic boom.
