AUSTIN -- AFD has put out a brush fire in Spicewood Springs-Northwest Austin.

Officials say the flames started on a wooden observation deck and spread on the Stillhouse Hollow Nature Preserve behind an apartment complex Sunday evening.

Firefighters had a hard time accessing the fire because of its location, so Starflight helped put out the flames.

They say the nearby apartments and homes are not at risk, but they'll stick around for several hours to make sure other hot spots don't flare up.

There have been no evacuations threatened.
