AUSTIN – There is a bit of a problem for the University of Texas at Austin Athletic Department that has nothing to do with the conduct of student athletes.
It's a tiny error repeated over-and-over-and over -- in the new football media guide! In the big scheme of things -- it's a simple mistake.
We all make mistakes, but this one's on every page triggering some public mockery from UT's biggest rival.
UT's media guide has dozens of pages that misspell 'TexasSports.com' -- instead it's spelled Texsa.
It's truly a Texas-sized blunder.
It didn't take long for an Oklahoma fan to register the domain name texsasports.com, and for the slip-up to become a topic of the day.
Word to the wise, always use spell check. Good advice to help avoid silly and sometimes costly mistakes.
This isn't UT"s first major spelling blunder. In May 2012 a commencement listing for the program's graduates contained a typo citing the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, leaving the 'l' out of public.
