AUSTIN -- Police are looking for a group of men they believe is responsible for a string of aggravated robberies at local businesses over the last few months.

Police say they are looking for two to four men in their early to mid-20s that are suspected in at least eight aggravated robberies. Police say one or two of the men commit the robbery while the others act as lookouts or drive the getaway vehicle.

Police say the robberies happened on the following dates and times:

  • Friday, June 6, 2014 -- 9:04 p.m.
  • Friday, June 20, 2014 -- 10:43 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 21, 2014 -- 10:28 p.m.
  • Friday, July 4, 2014 -- 6:46 p.m.
  • Friday, July 4, 2014 -- 8:18 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 17, 2014 -- 5:14 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 17, 2014 -- 9:38 p.m
  • Saturday, July 19, 2014 -- 7:21 p.m.

All the robberies occurred in the evening or night hours on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. During the last aggravated robbery, one of the suspects shot at the robbery victim.

Police describe the main person of interest in the case as a black or "mixed race" man in his early to mid-20s. Police say he's about 5'6" or 5'7" with a tall, thin build. Police say he has cornrows or braids with a "unique hairline."
