AUSTIN -- A mascot of the West Texas town Marfa is missing, and Tic Tac is believed to be in Austin.
Photos: #TicTacMarfa missing posters have popped up all over town. From South Congress Avenue to North Loop, residents of Austin are committed to returning Tic Tac.
Tic Tac the dog was so popular before he disappeared. His owner created an Instagram account because so many people visiting Marfa wanted take their picture with him.
The mystery of the Marfa Lights have captured the public's imagination since the 1800s. Now another Marfa mystery is believed to have made its way to Austin.
Falling in love with Tic Tac was easy for visitors in the six years the cattle dog/pit bull mix has called Marfa home.
Tic Tac is a free spirit, and he is known to wander all over town. The fearless pooch can even scale eight-foot fences with no problems. It's no wonder this wonder dog is considered the 'Marfa mascot.'
Tic Tac stopped by the Marfa Film Festival the first week of July. He was last seen at midnight July 6, the last day of the festival.
Six days after Tic Tac disappeared from Marfa, a Marfa resident visiting Austin who knows the dog very well was shocked to see the animal at 12th Street and Lamar Boulevard.
